3. May I Have a Cookie by Jennifer E. Morris

4. Mr. Cookie Baker by Katie Van Camp
As sweet and satisfying as holiday baking, here is a beautiful update of Monica Wellington’s Mr. Cookie Baker. In this book, youngsters can follow the process of measuring, mixing, baking, decorating, and eating cookies.
This book is a perfect supplement to early math units on sequencing, sorting, measuring, and telling time. The simple, straightforward behind-the-scenes view of a bakery makes it a splendid read. Yummy in any season!

5. Who Took the Cookie From the Cookie Jar by Bonnie Lass
This text is a fun adaptation of the classic playground song. Help Skunk solve the mystery as he asks each of his animal friends, Mouse, Raven, Squirrel, Rabbit, Turtle, Raccoon, Snake, Beaver, and Frog, who took the cookie from the cookie jar?
The title page shows Skunk taking cookies out of an oven, but by the first page of the story, the cookie jar is empty. Accompanied by Lizard, he ventures out into a desert landscape accusing, in turn, a number of animals of taking his baked goods.

6. Fortune Cookie Fortunes by Grace Lin
The main character, an anonymous young Chinese girl, believes that all the fortunes in the cookies will come true. The reader follows each member of her family to see how their fortunes are fulfilled.
